The Chiropractic Message
Chiropractors recognize that one of the main causes of pain and dis-ease is the misalignment and abnormal motion of the vertebra, called subluxation. Chiropractic works by adjusting the effects of these subluxations in the spine, thereby relieving irritation of the nerves, restoring join mobility, and returning the body back to a state of normal function.
Numerous studies have demonstrated that chiropractic care is one of the most effective ways to help the body heal from back pain, neck pain, headaches, whiplash, sports injuries, and many other types of musculoskeletal problems. It has even been shown to be effective in reducing high blood pressure, decreasing the frequency of childhood ear infections, and improving the symptoms of asthma.
Chiropractic patients enjoy increased flexibility, improved posture, improved or eliminated pain, a more relaxed and calm state, and an enhanced energy level — in short, an improved overall quality of life.
Wellness and Chiropractic
The chiropractic approach to health care is holistic, meaning that it addresses your overall health.
The holistic approach considers the many lifestyle factors, such as exercise diet, relaxation, rest and your environment, that affect your health. For this reason, a wellness lifestyle — being mindful of your diet, exercise, relaxation, and sleeping habits — works hand in hand with chiropractic care.
In our office, we address the six essential ingredients for optimal health,
- What you eat
- What you drinks
- How you exercise
- How you rest
- How and what you breath
- What you think about
At Northern Arizona Spinal Care, we believe it’s important for you to become involved in your own healthcare. Why? Because achieving really good results requires active participation, which means you should learn how certain CHOICES you make, every day, affect every area of your life and health.
To be patient with us, we require that you take an active role in your progress. The work you do in these six essential areas will unite with our efforts and you will experience some profound health benefits.
What Adjusting Techniques Will Dr. Bennett Use?
In his years of practice and experience Dr. Bennett has extensively trained and has found that the combination of the following techniques best facilitate the body in healing itself.
NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) removes the nerve interference at the most important level which is the upper neck area. This area houses the centers that control your most vital functions like breathing, heart rate, digestion, and our window into checking Body Balance.
B.E.S.T. (Bio-Energetic Synchronization Technique) BEST is an effective healing modality from the fields of neurophysiology, chiropractic, the new cell biology, and quantum physics. This gets to the most important part of the problem which is the energy behind the Emotion.
Thompson Technique is a more mechanical approach to reducing the subluxations and utilizes the drop table to help make the adjustments move easier and with less discomfort to the patient.
Extremity work sometimes Dr. Bennett may need to work on a knee, shoulder, elbow, foot, etc…he is well-trained on additional techniques to help with those as well. And he’ll check the spine first to determine what is causing pain.
